You are almost done with your last year of school, and you feel that you need a change of place and environment. You want to spread your wings and fly abroad to follow your dreams of studies, but you are not sure if you are ready for adventure.

We know that making such a decision is not easy, and it is certainly not something that can be chosen lightly. Many factors need to be taken into account that may ultimately contribute to our goal: obtaining a professional career at a large university in another country.

Here are some questions you can ask yourself so you can know if this is your thing:

How good is my level of English?

If you are fluent in English, you will have no problem. If you do not master it, it is not the end of the world, it is an opportunity to try harder and look for simpler ways to understand the language, for example: there are international universities that allow you to learn English before entering the race so that you can learn together with other students just like you, or you can volunteer to learn English while visiting another country.

Am I able to adapt to another culture easily?

Living in another country to study means leaving your comfort zone and if you want to study abroad it is key to have an open, tolerant attitude and a flexible mind. You may spend your whole life in your country and entering another destination can cause you a culture shock that generates frustration, but it will only be a phase in which you will end up adapting.

Is it easy for me to live alone?

I miss my family easily, yes. But will that deprive me of being able to achieve my goals? Consider that in addition to studying, you should take responsibility for your own affairs and care. It won't be easy, but there is a lot to learn.
